We rescue cats from the high desert of New Mexico — strays, ferals, and those surrendered for one reason or another. Each cat is evaluated, cared for, and matched with the right home. Our rescue is foster-based and volunteer-run.

Midnight

Female • ~3 years • Black domestic shorthair

Quiet and watchful. Midnight took to the high desert like she was born to it — which, in a way, she was. She likes warm laps, quiet rooms, and watching birds from a window perch. Not a fan of loud voices or sudden movement. She'd do best in a calm home, possibly as a solo cat or with one other mellow feline.

Indoor only Calm home preferred Good with other quiet cats

Pip

Male • ~1 year • Orange tabby

A bundle of energy with a good heart. Pip was found in a barn near Albuquerque, thin and wary of people. Three months later, he's put on weight, learned that humans can be trustworthy, and discovered that toy mice are the greatest thing ever invented. Loves to play, occasionally forgets he's not a dog, and will headbutt you without warning. Would thrive in a home with kids or other playful cats.

Young & playful Good with kids Needs playmates or attention

Maude

Female • ~7 years • Gray tabby with white

The wise one. Maude has been through some things and come out the other side with her dignity mostly intact. She's calm, observant, and has strong opinions about where she wants to sit. She's not needy, but she will let you know when it's time for dinner. Best suited for someone who appreciates an independent cat with a sweet streak. She's litter-trained, healthy, and ready for her retirement home.

Senior cat Independent but affectionate Best as only pet
